It’s been one of those weeks where as a business owner, Jewellery Artist, wife & Mum of two teens, just getting through each has been very challenging at times!
That’s why I love the message in this quote of the day by Lauren Oliver:
So many things become beautiful when you really look
The message in this quote is a technique I’ve been using lately that has been tremendously helpful in keeping me focused and grounded when the unexpected crops up and I begin to feel overwhelmed.
It’s a very simple technique – make time throughout your busy day to stop, pause, take a breathe, acknowledge your situation, tune in to your surroundings, remind yourself of your core your values and what’s really important in your life.
You’ll be amazed at how this simple exercise can shift your mindset and open your eyes to the positive and beautiful rather than ugly and negative aspects of a challenging situation.
The above photo was taken after coming back from a stroll along the beach with my husband and two children a few months back. The shells were so tiny that at first glance they were almost missed along the beach.
As I looked more closely at them I began to notice each shell had it’s own unique colour, shape and beautiful pattern and reminded me of just what an amazing Artist Nature is and, what you can see when you take the time to really look.
